Inspiration for cultivating
a Peaceful Home
Dearest Reader,
Hello and welcome! My name is Julie Roberts. I live in Vermont with my husband and my 2 Maine Coon cats. I have a regular day job and several degrees, including a degree in philosophy.

After my younger sister passed away from cancer, I began an in-depth journey to find greater peace. I have always loved home design, gardening, baking, crafting, pets, art, and many other topics that you will read about in this blog. I had shared many of these interests with my beloved sister. Her passing led me to consider all of these things – and life in general – in a new light. I started to reevaluate my priorities and how I spent my time. It was during this period of introspection that I discovered the profound impact that creating a nurturing and harmonious home environment can have on our well-being.

Home, for me, has always been a sanctuary - a place where I can unwind, express myself creatively, and find solace amidst life's challenges. But in the wake of my sister's passing, I realized just how essential this sanctuary truly is. It became not only a physical space but also a reflection of my inner state - a canvas where I could cultivate peace, joy, beauty, and healing.

As I delved deeper into my passions and hobbies, I found that each of these activities held therapeutic value. Whether it was rearranging furniture to create a more inviting living room, tending to my flower garden and connecting with nature, or losing myself in a new recipe, each act of creation brought a sense of purpose and tranquility.

Through this blog, I hope to share my journey with you - a journey of healing, growth, and discovery. I'll offer insights, tips, and inspiration on everything from interior decorating and plant care to delicious recipes and DIY projects. I will share ideas for healing relationships, self-care, meditation, exercise and inner healing: all activities that can be carried out in the home. But more than that, I aim to foster a community where we can support each other in creating homes that nourish our bodies, minds, and spirits.

Life is a precious gift, and in honor of my sister's memory, I've made it my mission to embrace each day with gratitude and intention. Join me as we embark on this adventure together, weaving beauty, love, and meaning into the fabric of our lives, one cozy corner at a time. Thank you for being here, and may your journey be filled with light and joy.
With warmth and blessings,
Julie Roberts
